weekend reading

Woo hoo it’s Friday! This past week I decorated for Christmas and started listening to Christmas music. It’s actually cold (well, Texas cold) here which has definitely put me in the holiday spirit. I’m hoping to work on my Christmas quilt this weekend and I’ll be heading to downtown Dallas to do some Christmas light viewing. It truly is the most wonderful time of year if you ask me.

Here are some things that interested me this week:

-Giant knitted blankets!! These all look amazingly squishy and comfy.

-Fifteen Things for When the World is Shitty and Terrifying. This spoke to me. Let’s all be a little more thoughtful and kinder.

-Oh, sexism. All the Items of Clothing Women Have Been Told Not to Wear in 2015.

-I love matcha lattes but I’ve yet to attempt one at home. I’m thinking I’ll try my hand at this one this weekend.

-I LOVED this story in this week’s New Yorker about falling in love with another language

-Checking expectations at the door during the holidays

-I’m starting Everybody Rise this weekend. I have heard such good things about it and I’m excited to read it.

Eat, drink, and be merry, people!
